I took Eliza to see this exhibit at the Japan Society this past Saturday. She seemed to enjoy the robots and the monsters on Ultraman. Also she liked the painting called “Elephant Underpants vs. Half-Apple,” which was a painting of exactly that.
We certainly gave the security guards a workout. They were never more than a couple of feet away, watching like hawks. It’s hard for a two-year-old to see so many toys that they’re not allowed to touch. So today I went traipsing around Chinatown looking for a Doraemon doll for her and finally found one in a gift shop on Mott street. Now if I can just find the DVDs somewhere besides Hong Kong.
Exhibit runs through July 24th.
